SKSE64 (check for special instructions - basically unzip, put some items in the SSE game directory, zip up the data directory in the SKSE64 folder and drag that zip file into Vortex to install as a mod.) Then run game and console command to make sure SKSE is installed OK. So finally, I found out about Vortex (alpha version) - I installed it, and since I have my games on D: drive, I had to configure it to use a directory on D: to store mods (which breaks automatic updating of Vortex apparently - but it is alpha testing stage after all).Īfter getting Vortex to work and telling it to manage Skyrim SE, I manually downloaded mods and dragged them into the 'drop file' section of Vortex under the Mods section. I spent DAYS fooling around with NMM and trying manual installs to get SkyUI 5.2 working on my Skyrim SE, and no matter what I did, it would never work. What a horror trying to install that! I finally solved it and I thought I'd pass the info along
So I found the SkyUI mod and decided to try that. ini file, the menus were partly off the bottom of the screen and it was frustrating to play. Just a note to Nexus and the community - I have a 3440x1440 widescreen monitor, and even with fixing the resolution in the skyrim.
